Carrie Jones
Carrie is a Glendale graduate where she was a 2016 conference champion. She graduated from MSU with her Bachelors in Physical Education in 2021 and her Masters in Education Administration in 2023. She spent her last four years, out of seven, playing club ball with the Tamales. In 2013, she made the USAV HP Skills camp as an outside hitter and trained in Ft. Lauderdale. In 2015, she made the USAV HP A3 program as a DS and trained in Colorado Springs. One of her favorite accomplishments was when she was named as the All - Tournament Team Libero at the President's Day Classic in STL in 2016. She competed at AAU Nationals in Orlando, in 2016. She attended two invite-only Phenom programs. One in Omaha, and one in Oklahoma City.
This is her 5th year as the 8th Grade Girls PE/Health Teacher. This is her 9th year coaching with the Tamales and her 3rd year as Co-Director.

Hannah Knoth
Hannah is a proud Nixa High School alumna, where she was a four-year varsity starter for the Eagles. She began playing volleyball at just eight years old, joining the original Hot Tamales team in 2006. Throughout her club career, she played exclusively with the Tamales, earning over 50 tournament wins—including a championship at the 2012 Lone Star Qualifier in Dallas—and making four appearances at the USAV Girls National Championships.
Hannah has continued her involvement with the Tamales as a coach, serving as an assistant for the 15 Red team during the 2020–2021 season and helping lead them to the 2021 USAV Girls National Championships in Las Vegas. She also coached the 17 Red team during the 2022–2023 season and attended the USAV Girls National Championship in Chicago. After high school, Hannah committed to Evangel University to play volleyball but retired after her first season due to injuries. She went on to serve as the assistant coach for the Evangel Lady Valor in 2022. Now entering her eighth year as co-director of Tamales Volleyball Club and her tenth year coaching with TVC, Hannah brings a decade of passion and experience to the program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology from Missouri State University (Class of 2020) and enjoys spending her free time with her son and husband. Hannah is dedicated to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court and is excited for another amazing season with the Tamales!

Azyah Green

Azyah Green is a former Division I athlete who played five seasons as the starting middle blocker at Missouri State University. Known for her consistency and leadership, she earned All-MVC Second Team honors in 2023 and was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week twice during her career. She led the Bears in blocking all five seasons — the only player in program history to do so — and finished with 592 total blocks, ranking fourth all-time at MSU and sixth in MVC history for block assists.
Azyah also ranks second in MSU history for sets played (561) and seventh in matches played (146). In her final season, she hit a team-best .282 while averaging 2.25 kills and 1.06 blocks per set. Academically, she was recognized on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and MVC Academic Honor Roll.
Off the court, Azyah has four years of club coaching experience and recently served as the assistant coach at Kickapoo High School. She was named head coach at Greenwood Laboratory School in June 2025.
Tylar Grant

Coach T” Grant is a respected leader in Missouri’s volleyball community, recently honored by the Missouri House of Representatives for her impact on the sport!
As CEO of Trainings by T LLC, she’s built a thriving brand and online presence focused on developing and inspiring athletes.
With 6 years of club experience—including 5 seasons with Tamales—Coach T has also coached at Pipkin, Parkview, and Central. Known as one of the area’s go-to trainers, she coaches year-round, offering private lessons, camps, open gyms, and tournaments.
A proud Springfield native and Parkview alumni, she earned a volleyball scholarship to Stephens College, playing OH/RS/DS & holds a Master’s in Sports Management from Missouri State.
Her long-term dream is to open her own training facility—where she can train, employ, and empower the next generation of athletes.

Brooke Wheeler

Brooke is a recent graduate from Clever High School and a passionate multi-sport athlete. She will be continuing her athletic and academic career at Mission University, where she will compete in both volleyball and basketball while pursuing a degree in Health Sciences. With over eight years of volleyball experience, Brooke played for Tamales for three of those years. With her last club season she transitioned into coaching for TVC. Brooke brings energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm. She is now entering her second year coaching for Tamales and is excited to help young athletes grow their skills, build confidence, and grow their love for volleyball.
Maegan Wilson

Maegen is entering her third year of coaching and has a lifelong love for the game. She played at Republic Schools and in competitive club volleyball growing up, and now stays active through coed and women’s leagues. Her coaching style is upbeat, encouraging, and focused on helping players grow in skill, confidence, and teamwork. Maegen is passionate about creating a positive environment where athletes can learn, compete, and fall in love with the game.
Bailey Groves

Now in her third year of coaching, Bailey brings experience from both high school and competitive club volleyball. A former player for 417 Juniors and Billings High School, she brings intensity, focus, and a love for the game to every practice. Her coaching style is competitive and high-energy, while still making sure her athletes enjoy the game and grow as a team.
Carrington Shockley
15 Red
Carrington graduated from Lebanon High School where she was a four year starter and received All-District, All-Conference, and All-Region honors. She played as both a setter and an outside hitter. She played with Tamales VBC for her final three years of club volleyball in high school. Carrington played for Southwest Baptist University as a Setter/DS after high school. Since then, Carrington has coached nine years of club volleyball. After taking one year off to welcome her sweet boy Knox into the world, she’s excited to return for her seventh year coaching for Tamales VBC. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and two dogs, cheering on the Chiefs, reading, and making Sno Biz. Carrington is excited for another fun and competitive season, and another year of sharing her love for the game with her team!
Madison Johnson

Madison is from Nixa, Missouri, where she received All-State recognition in 2017. She went on to continue her academic and athletic career at Arkansas Tech University, where she played for four years. Madison served as the starting libero for three seasons and helped lead her team to a Great American Conference Championship in 2021. She graduated ATU with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and has been living and working in Little Rock, AR. Madison is so excited to return to the Springfield area and share her passion for the game in her first season of coaching with the Tamales. She hopes to make the club experience as rewarding and fun for these girls as hers was. Her coaching style emphasizes energy, communication, and strong defensive fundamentals!
Lily Bolander

Lily is in her third year of coaching and has over 12 years of playing experience. Originally from Pomona, Mo, she currently plays collegiate volleyball at Ozark Christian College while dual enrolled and pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Missouri Southern State in Joplin.
Meg Roebuck
15 Black
Meg played volleyball for 10 years and now brings her passion for the game to coaching. She has experience coaching sand volleyball and enjoys helping athletes grow in both skill and confidence. Meg is currently a Business student at Missouri State University and is excited to share her love of volleyball with her players.
Molly Schrum
14 Red
Coach Molly brings a strong background in competitive volleyball and a growing coaching résumé to her second season with the Tamales. A former standout setter, Molly played five years of volleyball with Club COMO and was a key player at Southern Boone County High School. During her playing career, she earned multiple All-Conference and All-District honors and set the school record for assists.
Molly currently serves as an assistant coach at Mission University, where she helps develop collegiate-level talent and contribute to the program’s success. Her transition from player to coach has been marked by a deep commitment to player development and a passion for fostering team culture and growth.
With an unending love for the game and a strong foundation in both strategy and skill-building, Coach Molly is dedicated to helping athletes excel on and off the court.
Kate Hilton

Hello! My name is Katie Hilton. I am from Camdenton, Missouri and I have played volleyball for 8 years. I currently play volleyball at College of the Ozarks where I am a Junior defensive specialist. This will be my second year coaching at Tamales. I am so excited to be involved in coaching and helping girls grow their love for the game! Can’t wait for this season!
Abby Chadwell

Abby is entering her junior year of college at Fort Hays State University. She played volleyball her freshman and sophomore year of college for College of the Ozarks. Abby contributed to the success of the Lady Cats in her freshman season by playing in key positions as a setter & outside hitter. She compiled 216 kills & 325 assists in her college debut. Abby comes from Strafford High School where she had a record-breaking career receiving All-Conference, All-District, and All-State honors as well as being ranked 4th in Missouri for career assists in high school. Abby is majoring in Psychology at FHSU and plans to work with children on the spectrum in her future. This is her second season coaching club for TVC and had a great season with the 13-2s. She is eager to coach young athletes in developing them on the court as well as mentor them on valuable life skills.
Mica Chadwell

Mica recently graduated from College of the Ozarks and now works full time as a Mother Baby nurse. Mica was a standout athlete at Strafford High School where she helped lead the Lady Indians to successful volleyball and basketball state runs. Mica compiled a noteworthy career receiving NCCAA D1 Second and Third Team All-American honors and leading the team in digs and aces the past three seasons. She was also named an NAIA Honorable Mention in her last season and holds the all-time dig record at College of the Ozarks with 3,088. She has also been named an NCCAA National Defender of the Week over ten times throughout her career as well as the SAC Defender of the Week award 3 times in 2024. Mica was also the most outstanding player of the Continental Athletic Conference tournament in 2023 and named the Defender of the Year as well as 1st team all conference for the Sooner Athletic Conference in 2024. This is her second season coaching club for TVC and is looking forward to bringing her wealth of knowledge to the organization in any capacity.
Chelsea Schätzer

Hi, I’m Chelsea Schatzer! I grew up playing volleyball at Logan-Rogersville and continued my journey at Avila University, where I was a four-year collegiate athlete. After college, I spent three amazing years coaching with KC Power, helping athletes grow both on and off the court.
My coaching style is all about high energy, building strong fundamentals, and creating a positive, competitive environment where players feel supported and pushed to be their best. I love connecting with athletes and helping them develop not just as players, but as confident teammates and leaders.
McKenna McClure

Hi! My name is McKenna McClure. I am from Perryville, Missouri, and I have been playing volleyball for 10 years. I currently play volleyball at College of the Ozarks where I am a Sophomore, Opposite/ Middle Blocker. This will be my first year coaching for Tamales! I am so excited and blessed to be apart of this years coaching staff!
Mattie Fraley

Hello! My name is Mattie Fraley. I am very excited to be coaching for the Tamales. This will be my second year coaching for them. I love to coach young athletes to be the best player and person they can be. Character development is one thing that I strive for within a player. To me, a winner is not only someone who gives their best effort and attitude on the court, but also off of the court.
Some interesting facts about me include that I’ve been an elementary teacher for 11 years. This upcoming year, I’ll be teaching 4th grade at Niangua. It will also be my second year to be the head coach for Varsity and JV. Previously, I was an assistant coach for the Warsaw School District for 6th and 7th grade volleyball. When I left to teach in Rolla, I coached private lessons.
I am very excited to be in these positions and I cannot wait to see each athlete grow.
Neely Bridges

My name is Neely Bridges this is my second year of coaching for Tamales volleyball. I graduated Willard and have 6 years of playing experience—and continue to play volleyball recreationally. As a coach, I want to help players grow not only in their skills and understanding of volleyball but also in their love for the game!
Katie Campbell

Katie Campbell is a proud Missouri native and graduate of Hillcrest High School in Springfield. A standout athlete, she was a three-year starter on the volleyball team, earning All-District and Academic All-State honors as an Outside Hitter/Setter. She continued her collegiate career at Coffeyville Community College, competing as a Defensive Specialist/Libero.
Following her playing career, Katie transitioned into coaching and has spent the past 12 years mentoring and developing young athletes. She brings six years of experience in both USAV and MSHSAA programs and is currently in her first year as the Freshman Coach at Nixa High School.
Katie’s coaching philosophy centers on building well-rounded athletes who pursue excellence—physically, mentally, and emotionally. She creates a positive and disciplined environment where players grow not only in their volleyball skills but also in life. Her athletes learn the importance of teamwork, commitment, time management, self-care, sportsmanship, and accountability—values they carry long after their time on the court.

Mary Hampton

This is my second year with Tamales, and I am pumped to be a part of this crew! I spent 8 years as a player in school ball and club. I am also currently a middle school coach in the area. Outside of volleyball, I’m a 4th grade teacher and a dog mom to a rowdy golden retriever. Can’t wait to have fun and find success this upcoming season!!

My names Mia Ehlers! I have played volleyball for a little over eleven years. I spent my four years of high school playing for New Covenant Academy. I finished my playing career with tamales to end my 6 years of club ball and I am so excited to come back and coach for this amazing club! I am currently a sophomore at Missouri State, and I am studying marketing management and fashion merchandising. I am also playing for the club team at Missouri State during the school year, and I have loved getting to still play the game of volleyball! Last year I coached our 12 Black team and had we had an amazing season! I’m very excited to continue coaching for this awesome club, and I’m so excited for this upcoming season!

Hi! I'm Mallori McBurnie, and I'm so excited to be back for my second year coaching with the Tamales! I played volleyball for a little over 10 years, specializing as a DS/Libero. I played for New Covenant Academy and played for Tamales for a couple of seasons as well. I’m looking forward to another great season with some great girls!
Lauren Noble

Lauren Noble brings a decade of coaching experience and a decorated collegiate playing career to the court. A passionate and driven coach, Lauren has spent the last 10 years developing athletes at the club level with organizations including Club Bear, Club CoMo, and Invasion. Her college coaching journey includes two years as a Graduate Assistant at Central Methodist University, followed by assistant coaching roles at Lamar Community College and Missouri Southern State University.
As a player, Lauren competed at several collegiate programs—Central Methodist University, Missouri State University-West Plains, Southwest Baptist University, and College of the Ozarks—earning accolades along the way. She was named Honorable Mention All-Conference at CMU and earned First Team All-Region honors at College of the Ozarks, showcasing her skill, versatility, and leadership on the court.
Lauren’s diverse experience as both a player and coach at multiple competitive levels allows her to bring insight, energy, and a player-focused approach to every team she works with.

Madison MaGee

Hi! I’m Madison Magee. I’ve played volleyball since kindergarten and spent a year playing club volleyball at Missouri State University. I started as a setter and transitioned to middle midway through my career, giving me a versatile view of the game. I’ve earned 1st and 2nd Team All-District honors multiple times at Willard High School. While this is my first year coaching, I’m passionate about helping athletes grow and have fun. Outside of volleyball, I played soccer and qualified for state in theatre every year of high school—so energy, creativity, and teamwork are always part of my coaching style!
Aubrey Wichmer
Floater Coach
Aubrey was a player on the original Tamales team and has been affiliated with the Tamales for many years. During her club career, Aubrey played for the Tamales and Springfield Juniors/CSDP where her team won multiple national qualifiers and placed 2nd at nationals in 2013. She graduated from Nixa in 2016 where she was a four year varsity starter and received All-District, All-State, and All-Region honors. Aubrey continued her education and volleyball career at Missouri State. She played four years on the Women’s volleyball team. In 2016 and 2017 the team won the conference tournament and received bids to the NCAA Tournament. Aubrey was nominated the Missouri State Sophomore Female Athlete of the Year in 2017. In 2020, Aubrey graduated from Missouri State with her Bachelors in Psychology and is now working in Human Resources. She loves coaching and developing players to be the best they can be both on and off the court. Aubrey looks forward to stepping into a floater coach this season and cannot wait to see what great things our athletes accomplish!
Morgan Copeland
Floater Coach
Morgan is entering her 6th season coaching for the Tamales, stepping into the role of a floater coach this season. She has played and worked within the Tamales Volleyball Club organization since its inception in 2006. Playing under the Tamales founder, Joe Miller, for ten seasons then transitioning to a Co-Club Director role for five seasons. In her tenure with TVC, she has coached two national qualifying teams, and was part of the coaching staff who won the 2023 Show-Me National Qualifier 12 American division. Morgan is passionate about developing young athletes to be successful on and off the court. She also is part of the coaching staff for the College of the Ozarks volleyball program and enters her sixth season as assistant for the Lady Cats this fall.
